East Building of Shanghai Museum

The building is nearly 45 meters high, with 6 floors above ground including exhibition, public service, warehouse and office rooms; and 2 underground floors are mainly academic lecture halls, cinemas, activity classrooms, etc.

From the appearance, the building is a rectangular block. The marble skin covering the facade is like the undulating waves of the sea.

From the functional point of view of the building, the common closed streamline design is improved. Open leisure side halls, outdoor terraces and gardens are set at different positions of the streamline, highlighting the interaction between architectural space and urban space.

The maximum size of the Shanghai Museum East Pavilion plate is 5430mm X 1915mm, the plate thickness is 60mm, the total amount exceeds 3000㎡
